My kids get sick and tired of the same breakfast every single day, so I am always trying to come up with new ideas so they have a great start to the day. Majority of the time I want them to eat healthy breakfasts but sometimes that isn’t possible so the Nutella French Toast saves the day! They can’t resist oozing wedges of Nutella stuffed French toast. And to be honest, neither can the hubby! So win-win!

Preparation Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Serves 2
Ingredients
4 slices of bread / brioche bread
4 tablespoons Nutella/ hazelnut chocolate spread
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 tablespoon butter
Powdered sugar- to serve
Fresh fruit- to serve
Whipped cream- to serve
Instructions
Spread the hazelnut spread between the bread slices and make into 2 sandwiches.
In a shallow bowl, combine the egg, milk, milk, sugars and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.
Dip the sandwiches on both sides in the egg mixture, allowing it to saturate on both sides.
Preheat a pan on a medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in the pan. Cook the French toast on both sides for 2-3 minutes until golden.
Dust the French toast with icing sugar and serve with fresh fruit and whipped cream
