Copycat Mc Donald’s Chicken Big Macs

I love making copycat fast-food recipes at home, just so much better! And these Copycat Mc Donald’s Chicken Big Macs were perfect. I served them with potato wedges but you can always serve them with crispy, thin fries. I have also made the Copycat Mc Donald’s Beef Big Macs. Don’t forget to check it out too.

Instructions

  1. Blend all the chicken patty ingredients in a food processor until smooth.

  2. Divide the mince into 8 balls. Shape into thin patties. Place them on a lined tray. Freeze the patties for 1 hour.

  3. Mix the flour, salt, pepper and paprika, for the flour dredge. Set it aside. In another shallow bowl, beat the egg and buttermilk until smooth.

  4. Set up the dredging station

  5. Dip the chicken patty in the seasoned flour, then in the egg mix, and finally back in the seasoned flour. Shake off the excess flour and set the burger patty in the tray.

  6. Heat the oil in a large skillet to 180c. Fry the chicken patties for 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Remove the chicken from the pan and allow the oil to drain on a wire rack. Set them aside.

  7. Mix the ingredients for the Big Mac sauce in a bowl. Set it aside until ready to assemble the burgers.

  8. Spread the butter on the buns. Toast them on a low heat until golden. Take them off the stove and arrange them on a wooden board.

  9. Spread the Big Mac sauce over the bottom buns. Top with shredded lettuce, then the chicken patties, cheese slices, onions, pickles and additional sauce.

  10. Assemble the burgers. Serve the burgers with sauce and fries.
