I am always looking for a better way to make take out food at home for the boys. Eating out isn’t healthy and I don’t always want them eating take out all the time. So it’s better if I make it for them at home, isn’t it? The recipe is so simple and all you need is a handful of ingredients and some brining time! No excuses not to try this recipe at home. Oh and by the way, I have also included the recipe for Chick- fil- A’s famous sauce, and it’s so easy to make!
Preparation Time 2 hours including brining time
Cook Time 10 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts- cubed
1 cup pickle brine
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Oil- for shallow frying
Chick-Fil-A Sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/4 cup BBQ sauce
1/2 cup mayonnaise
Instructions
For the brining solution: combine the pickle brine, milk and egg. Whisk well until smooth. Add the chicken and make sure the chicken is covered properly in the milk. Chill the mixture for 2-3 hours.
Combine the flour, sugar, salt, black pepper and paprika in a bowl.
Dip the chicken in the flour, shake off the excess flour and place the nuggets in a plate.
Combine all the ingredients for the sauce. Mix well and pour into a bowl.
Heat 1 inch oil in a pan to 180c. Fry off 8 nuggets at a time for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the oil and blot onto kitchen paper.
Serve with French fries and the sauce!
