Chicken skewers in any form is a huge hit with my kids. They love anything that they can grab and eat anywhere and at any time. I made these Korean chicken skewers for school lunch with my quick and easy garlic chilli noodles. You can find that recipe on the site too. You can serve these Korean chicken skewers with rice and some pickled / sautéed vegetables.
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes
Marination Time 1 hour
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 tablespoons honey
1-2 tablespoons gochujang paste
2 chicken breasts- cubed
Garnish
1 tablespoon green onion- sliced
1 teaspoons sesame seeds
Instructions
Combine the vegetable oil, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic paste, ginger paste, honey and gochujang. Mix well
Add the chicken and coat the chicken in the marinade. Marinate the chicken for an hour or if you have time, then overnight is better.
Soak your wooden skewers in water for 15-20 minutes.
Thread the chicken onto the skewers. Reserve the marinade
Pour the marinade into a pan and cook it on a low heat for 2-3 minutes until thickened. Remove it from the heat and set it aside.
Bake at 180c for 15 minutes or air fry for 10-15 minutes.
Brush the marinade over the chicken. Garnish with onions and sesame seeds.
Serve with rice and stir fried vegetables.
