Homemade Nando’s Copycat Seasoning
Nando’s has a flavour that is hard to beat, and this copycat seasoning brings it straight into your kitchen. It is the same smoky, spicy blend that makes their chicken so moreish, and you probably already have most of these spices sitting in your cupboard right now.
Just like my fajita seasoning and taco seasoning, this one has quickly become a staple in my kitchen. I mix up a big batch and keep it in a jar, so there is always something ready to use on chicken, chips, burgers or roasted vegetables.

Preparation Time 5 minutes
Ingredients
3 tablespoons dried parsley
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon paprika
2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well until everything is evenly blended.
Store in an airtight container or a glass jar and it will keep for up to 6 months.
Use it on chicken, chips, burgers or roasted vegetables, or stir a spoonful through mayonnaise for a quick peri peri sauce. I usually make a triple batch so that I am not mixing it up every other week. If you give it a go, let me know how you got on!
