I bring home bananas in my weekly shop, because I have a little one who loves them. But when they begin to turn, then my mind begins to race. I want to make something with those softened, sweet bananas before they rot. For some reason, they take one day to turn from softened to rotten, so let's act quickly and make these banana fritters.
Preparation Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
2 large banans- ripe
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
a pinch of salt
1/3 cup milk
Oil- for deep frying
Nutella/ chocolate spread/ melted chocolate
Mash the bananas in a large bowl. Add the brown sugar and mix it until well combined.
Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt and milk. Mix it well. The batter will be thick.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying to 180c. Drop balls of the batter into the oil and cook for 5-10 minutes until golden brown.
Dust in powdered sugar. Serve with Nutella and Maple syrup.
