Shawarma Pickles

We all love to eat chicken shawarma right? And when you make it, you want to make sure you have all the ingredients so you can make something truly authentic. And those shawarma pickles are essential! You have to add them all your meals, because you won’t want to stop eating them!

Preparation Time 15 minutes
Set Time 2 days
Yields 2 large jars of shawarma pickles
Ingredients
6 cucumbers
5 carrots- peeled
8 green chillies
10 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon baking soda- to clean the vegetables
2 cups water
2 cups vinegar
4-5 teaspoons salt
Instructions
Place the baking soda in some cold water. Add the veggies whole as is and clean them very well. Strain them and set them aside.
Julienne the carrots and cucumbers.
Combine the vinegar, water and salt in a saucepan. Heat it up slightly to dissolve the salt. Do not boil it. We only want to be able to simmer it.
Place all the veggies in a. Jar. Add the vinegar mix on top and leave the jar open to cool the vinegar. Allow it come to room temperature. Close the lid and leave it for 2 days on the counter. Then once open keep it in the fridge.
