Royal Icing 

The holiday season is among us and now is the best time to finalise the list for the upcoming cookie boxes! This royal icing is super easy and quick. You don’t need any extra ingredients or any preservatives. Make batches beforehand and you can freeze or chill them until needed. 



Royal Icing


Preparation Time 5 minutes 

Yields 3 cups 


Ingredients 


3 egg whites 

450 grams icing sugar 

1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions 


  1. Beat the egg whites with a paddle attachment on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until frothy. 

  2. Slowly add the sugar and vanilla 

  3. Increase the speed to high and beat it for 2-3 minutes until stiff peaks form. 

  4. Divide and colour the dough. Thin it out with a few drops of water for flooding consistency.
