Hot Honey Garlic Chicken Sliders 

Recently these hot honey garlic chicken sliders have been all over my social media and because I love making new recipes for the kids to try, this became the hit of the week! The chicken is crunchy, spicy and sweet, with that creamy but spicy ranch works so well together. I even made the buns myself, so you know it’s going to be good! (Recipe here)


Hot Honey Garlic Chicken Sliders

Cook Time 30 minutes

Marination Time 1-6 hours

Serves 6-8



Ingredients


Chicken Marinade 


1 kg chicken breasts- in strips and flattened 

1 1/2 cups buttermilk 

2 eggs- beaten 

1/2 cup pickle juice/ vinegar 

1/4 cup hot sauce 

1 teaspoon salt 

1 teaspoon paprika 

1/2 teaspoon chilli powder 

1 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 teaspoon black pepper 



Dry Flour Coating


300 grams flour 

150 grams corn starch 

1 teaspoon baking powder 

1 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 teaspoon onion powder 

1 teaspoon chilli powder 

1 teaspoon paprika 

2 teaspoons cayenne 

2 teaspoons salt 

1/4 teaspoons black pepper 


Hot Honey Sauce 


1 teaspoon cayenne 

4 tablespoons butter 

2 teaspoon chipotle sauce 

1/8 cup honey 



Hot Honey Seasoning Mix 


1 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 teaspoon onion powder 

1 teaspoon smoked paprika 

1 teaspoon brown sugar 

1 teaspoon cayenne 

1 teaspoon black pepper 

1/4 teaspoon salt 


Ranch Dressing 


1/2 cup mayonnaise 

1 cup buttermilk 

1 teaspoon garlic powder 

1 teaspoon onion powder 

1 teaspoon black pepper 

Salt 

1 teaspoon dill 

1 tablespoon chipotle sauce 


Garlic butter- to brush over the buns- optional 


4 tablespoons butter 

1 teaspoons garlic pwoder 

1 tablespoons coriander- chopped 





Instructions 


  1. Marinate the chicken in the marinade ingredients for 1-6 hours. If you can marinate it overnight, thats even better. 

  2. Mix the ingredients for the dry flour coating. Set it aside. 

  3. Mix the ingredients for the hot honey seasoning mix. Set it aside. 

  4. Mix the ingredients for the ranch dressing and chill in the fridge until ready to use it.

  5. Remove the chicken from the fridge 1 hour before you want to start cooking. 

  6. Double dip the chicken from the marinade, to the dry coasting, then back into the marinade and the dry flour coating. 

  7. Heat 1 inch oil in a large pan to 180c. Fry the chicken on each side for 3-4 minutes until golden and crispy. 

  8. Toast the buns on the stove. 

  9. Spread the ranch dressing over the buns. Top the buns with the lettuce and chicken piece. Brush the hot honey sauce over the chicken, sprinkle over the hot honey seasoning mix and finally add some sliced pickles. 

  10. Spread more of the ranch over the top bun and close up the burger. 

• 11. Serve these hot honey garlic chicken sliders with fries or wedges.
