Garlic butter

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the water, yeast, milk powder and sugar in a bowl. Allow the mixture to rest for 10 minutes until bloomed.

  2. Once the yeast is bloomed, add the oil, salt, garlic powder and half of the flour. Beat on a low speed with a dough hook for 15 minutes. Add the remaining flour and beat on a low speed for 10 minutes until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.

  3. Grease a bowl with oil and turn the dough out into the bowl. Cover with clingfilm and place the bowl in a warm place for 1.5 - 2 hours until doubled in size.

  4. Once the dough is doubled in size, cut the dough into 9 pieces. Shape each piece into a 6 inch long log. Tie each into a knot and tuck the edges under the knot. Place the knots onto a parchment lined 8x8 inch pyrex dish. Let them rise for 30 minutes.

  5. Combine the ingredients for the garlic butter.

  6. Preheat the oven to 200c. Brush the knots with half of the garlic butter.

  7. Bake the knots for 20-22 minutes until golden.

  8. Remove them from the oven and brush them with the remaining garlic butter and garnish with chopped coriander.
