Garlic Chilli Oil Noodles
Updated: Aug 1, 2021
I love recipes I can throw together in under 30 minutes. Being a busy mum, I have so much going on all day. So I always try making as many quick recipes as possible. This recipe is a permanent addition to my quick meals list. Believe it or not, these garlic chilli oil noodles come together in under 15 minutes.
The chilli oil in the recipe is homemade. I make it myself because it tastes so much better. You can find the recipe here. I know the jar stuff is easier to add to your noodles. But this fresh chilli oil is just so much better. You can make a huge batch of the chilli oil and just put it in a jar to be used for up to 6 months.

Preparation Time 2 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Serves 1
Ingredients
100 grams noodles- dry, uncooked.
3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon chilli flakes- more or less according to your spice level.
3-4 cloves garlic- minced.
1 Tablespoon soya sauce
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 tablespoons green onion - sliced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon white pepper
1-2 teaspoons chilli oil
Topping
1 tablespoon sesame seeds- toasted
2 tablespoons green onion - sliced
Extra chilli oil
Instructions
Boil noodles until al-dente. Do not overcook the noodles as they need to cook further in the pan with the spices. Drain the noodles and set them aside.
Heat the oil in a pan, add the noodles, chilli flakes, garlic, soya sauce, vinegar, chopped green onion, salt and pepper. Toss the noodles to coat well. Add the chilli oil and toss again.
