Ramadan is coming and I am so excited. It really is a blessed month for us Muslims. And these fudge date brownies were a huge hit. I loved this recipe and even my family thought these were perfect for the holy month. I will be making these for the kids for Iftar (the time when we break our fast) quite regularly.Â
The best thing about this recipe is that I don’t use any white refined sugar in this recipe. Instead these brownies are sweetened with just the dates!!!! Can you believe it??? So yummy. And because dates are soft and dense, it creates a really fudgy brownie!!! Perfection!Â

InstructionsÂ
Line an 8 inch square tin with parchment paper. Set it asideÂ

In a large bowl: beat the butter and blended dates for 3-4 minutes until light.Â
Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix until combined.Â
Sift the cocoa powder and flour into the wet ingredients. Fold them in until smooth.Â
Pour the batter into the prepared tin. Smooth it over with an offset spatula. Bake at 180c for 18-20 minutes until the edges are just set.Â
