Brunch is big in our house, waking up late on the weekend (only applicable for my husband. I’m still up at 6 am) and changing up breakfasts or trying something new.
These easy caramelised bananas are delicious and you only need 5 ingredients to make them.
Preparation Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
2 large/ 3 medium bananas, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch circles
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions
Heat butter in a pan over a medium heat.
Once melted, add the banana in a single layer, making sure they don’t overlap each other.
Sprinkle over the brown sugar and cinnamon.
Gently turn the bananas. Cook them 2-3 minutes each side.
Remove them from the heat and add the vanilla. Shake the pan to mix in the vanilla.
Use immediately.
Wanted a quick snack and these were so good!! I added a handful of walnuts into the pan for a nice crunch. I imagine they're even better on pancakes
