I have been seeing these beef tortilla kebabs all over the net these days and I am now obsessed. I wanted to put my own spin to these kebabs with a rich garlic butter! The boys really enjoyed them and would happily eat them again. Layering the meat with the tortillas brings flavour even to the tortilla layer. Everything is full of flavour. I served these beef tortilla kebabs with a lovely sauce and my sumac onions! You can use my recipe and enjoy this for dinner today!

Preparation Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 15 minutes
Serves 4
Ingredients
500 grams beef mince
4 large tortillas
1/2 reed pepper- finely chopped
1/4 red onion- finely chopped
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup coriander-chopped
Garlic Butter
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons coriander- chopped
1 teaspoon garlic paste
Salt and pepper- to taste
Sauce- recipe here
Other Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil
4 wooden skewers- soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
Combine the beef, red pepper, onions, garlic, coriander and seasoning. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 4 balls.
Cut the edges off of the tortillas to make them square. If you have lavash bread, you can use that too.
Spread each of the beef balls over the tortilla. Layer them one on top of the other, meat side up.
Cut them into 4 equal strips. Turn them to their sides and press them together. Insert 4 skewers through the middle of the kebabs. Slice between the skewers as shown in the video to create rectangular kebabs.
Heat the oil in a large pan and sear all the sides until golden. Brush on half the garlic butter while cooking on the kebabs. Reserve the other half to be brushed onto the kebabs before serving.
Serve these beef tortilla kebabs with the sauce and sumac onions. Both the recipes are linked.
