Teriyaki Chicken Wings

My husband is a fan of chicken wings, and recently I have been experimenting with my recipes and he's been eating them like crazy. Poor guy. He had to eat so many of them. But now you know this recipe is just amazing. A tried and tested recipe for sticky teriyaki chicken wings, which will leave you licking your fingers.






Preparation time 15 minutes

Cook time 20 minutes

Yields 12 Full Wings


Ingredients


1 kg / 2 lbs Chicken Wings

1 Tablespoons paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup flour


Oil for deep frying


Teriyaki Sauce


1/3 cup Soya sauce

2 Tablespoons brown sugar

2 Tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon minced ginger

2 cloves minced garlic

1 Tablespoon water

1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds






Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the chicken wings with paper towels. Set them aside.

  2. Combine paprika, garlic powder, black pepper and salt in a large bowl. Rub the spices into the wings.

  3. Toss the chicken wings in 1 cup all purpose flour.

  4. Heat oil for deep frying to 180c.

  5. Fry the chicken wings 3 at a time for 5-7 minutes until golden and crispy.

  6. Make the sauce: combine all the ingredients in a pan and bring to a simmer until thickened.

  7. Toss the wings in the sauce.

  8. Plate up and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
