I love making pizza and the kids are obsessed with pizza. However, getting the oven heated up when all they want is a quick dinner makes the process so difficult. I realised that the air fryer is literally a tiny oven and that I could just toss the pizzas into the air fryer and they would be ready in 5 minutes. Quite literally. I make the dough in the morning when they are at school or busy otherwise. Then I can surprise them with quick, personalised pizzas. The reason why I love making pizza in the air fryer is because the pizzas are personalised size. the kids can select their own toppings and get their own little pizza for dinner.
Preparation Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Makes 6 personalised pizzas (6 inches each)
1 batch of multipurpose dough ( recipe here)
Toppings of your choice
Oregano and chilli flakes ( for garnish)
Preheat the air fryer at 200c for 3-4 minutes. You want your air fryer hot.
Form 6 dough balls from this multipurpose dough recipe. Roll into 6-8 inch pizza bases. Whatever size fits into your air fryer.
Place the base carefully onto the air fryer basket.
Prick the base with a fork.
Cook the base for 2 minutes each side in the air fryer.
Open the air fryer and top your pizza with pizza sauce, toppings and cheese. Then sprinkle the oregano and chilli flakes on top.
Cook the pizza in the air fryer for a further 5 minutes at 200c until the cheese is brown and bubbles.
Carefully remove the pizza and rest on a chopping board for 2-3 minutes before slicing and serving.
